After the latest updates all my sites that uses WP CERBER started to be flagged as “BROKEN” by the WP Toolkit tool indicating a JSON Syntax error. Currently I have 14 different domains indicating the exactly same error and when I deactivate WP CERBER Plugin, this error disappear.
The message we got in all sites are as shown bellow:
**********************************
WP Toolkit has found WordPress files at the following path:
However, it does not seem that this WordPress website is working. Try restoring the website from a backup or cleaning up the redundant files.
*******************************
I already checked for redundant / duplicated files and didn’t find any. Could you give me any tip or direction to investigate and discover what is the problem?
The message you posted is a general WP Toolkit warning and does not show the JSON syntax error itself. Could you please share a screenshot of the complete WP Toolkit error, including the JSON syntax error and any additional details shown near it?
Please also let us know:
The WP Cerber version installed
The WordPress and PHP versions
Whether the warning disappears after deactivating only WP Cerber and running the WP Toolkit scan again
Please provide these details for one affected website. This should help us understand whether the issue is related to WP Cerber, WP Toolkit, or their interaction.
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for my late reply.
We were investigating it and there was another plugin interfering with WP-CERBER, returning a false flag that was CERBER the problem, but it wasn’t. So, every thing is fine now.
I didn’t find a way to close this topic, also erase it. If you could do it, I’ll appreciate a lot.
