Hi
I’ve just been targetted with a carding attack, am looking into how I can prevent it hapening again (and others sites)
they spammed 1 product and the checkout - via a respected paypal plugin…
I have emailed paypal and paypal plugin to let them know
I am looking at recaptcha on the site - I already had WP Cerber anti-spam bot detection switched on - but that didn’t seem like enough.
When looking at the cerber recaptcha options its only seems to be registration forms etc and not checkout - does anyone know best way to protect the checkout from bots?
or am I asking wrong question here
we do allow guest checkout… and we want to keep that if possible
I am looking at cloudflare again
but would appreciate some thoughts from those know cerber better than I do as I thought that I had things fairly well tightened… but obviously not
thank you
Sarah
We are in the same boat. Carding attack. We would like a recaptcha option on the checkout page. WPCERBER wasnt enough to stop this from happening. Might have to look at another custom option if not supported by WPCERBER
Carding doesn’t target your forms, it targets your payment gateway.
Cerber, CAPTCHA, and anti-spam tools cannot stop it.
You must configure PayPal’s & and Co solution Fraud Protection, enforce 3D Secure, and rate-limit transactions.
